Jeeyar Swamiji the JET ATLANTA CHAPTER would like to invite all devotees to sign up for
the weekly activities of PRAJNA for children. The classes are conducted for 45 minutes with
slokas, moral stories and bhajans. The children will be taught about our culture and
sampradayam. The classes are conducted at Alpharetta and Kennesaw.
Prajna is a series of classes conducted for the benefit of children and adults under the
guidance of His Holiness Sri TridanDi Sri:manna:ra:yaNa Ra:ma:nuja Chinna Jeeyar
Swamiji:.
- What is Prajna ?
Vedic knowledge and culture so preciously preserved for millions of years is being lost in
the modern era. We have forgotten what our customs and traditions are, why they are
important and what is the reason behind them. We are not sure what is the goal of our human
life? What one should realize in this life? What should be one's response in our daily chores?
As a result, there is confusion in the society, leading to unrest, lack of confidence and
disrespect for traditional way of living. In spite of our rich, valuable and true vedic
knowledge, we often tend to disown and distance from it due to ignorance and misinformation.
Only a true A:cha:rya can dispel this darkness by lighting a lamp of right vedic knowledge in
our hearts. Sri: Swa:mi:ji has taken up this task of educating and reforming us so that we will
be able to lead our lives in a fruitful way. Come, let us join the movement. One person who
gets benefited in this process, can lead others in proper direction, thus empowering the whole
society at large.
- What does Prajna offer?
Students will learn basics of our tradition, get familiar with vocabulary and terminology, get
introduced to vedic literature, stories from our itiha:sas and pura:Nas, learn biographies of
great teachers and devotees, learn slo:kas and prayers, understand virtues and values and
much more. Wherever possible, there are also classes scheduled for learning their native
language, music, dance, arts etc. There will be community functions organized for special
occassions involving all 'Prajna' families. Sri: Swa:mi:ji: will be gracing his divine
benevolence and bless the students and provide instructions for the trainers.
